Promo was charged with launching the new Viceroy Snowmass in Snowmass Base Village. Beginning six months prior to opening, Promo reached out to a broad yet targeted spectrum of regional and national lifestyle, travel, outdoor, ski, and design publications in order to launch the hotel, restaurant, and spa. Viceroy Snowmass was named to Condé Nast Traveler’s coveted Hot List. In addition, the hotel has been featured a couple of times in the New York Times; featured in the Associated Press(AP) with stories appearing in more than 50 national publications, the chef has been featured on the “Today Show” and was named one of Food & Wine’s People’s Best New Chefs; the small six room spa was featured on Condé Nast’s Hot Spas and as one of W Magazine’s Best Spas. In winter 2011/12, one of the worst ski seasons in Aspen/Snowmass history, the property increased business more than 25 percent, contrary to an industry that was down 15 percent.
